I’ve been helping people with this question since 2015.

My first response is that you are normal! There are societal pressures to consume and pay for the standard, big name brand of literally anything you can imagine. And subscriptions are the new thing.

But we are creative people. And as a creator, I come up with solutions to problems. But still the problem of Adobe Creative Cloud subscription has been a thorn in my side for a long time.

The Answer, when it comes to design at least, is Affinity software from Serif!

With the arrival of Affinity Designer, from a German company called “Serif,” I was encouraged that someone was taking this problem seriously. Yes, there are free solutions, but I am not even going to mention them here because Affinity is the solution to professional design software that does what Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign have done for years—and does it just as well!
